About Donald A. Eisner, Ph.D. J.D.


Donald A. Eisner, Ph.D. J.D., is a licensed attorney and psychologist.  He has a Ph.D. from West Virginia University, a post-doctorate in gerontology studies at the University of Southern California, and a law degree from the University of West Los Angeles.  He was licensed to practice as an attorney in California in 1988.

Dr. Eisner has represented clients in numerous psychotherapy cases involving abuse of transference, implanting false memories of abuse, medication side efferts, improper dual relationships, and involuntary hospitalization.

He has testified in State and Federal court on mental health issues.  He has published an article in the American Journal of Forensic Psychology on expert witness testimony.  Dr. Eisner has written an academic book entitled, “The Death of Psychotherapy: From Freud to Alien Abductions”.  Additionally, he has published over twenty professional articles, which include  topics on forensic issues.

Donald A. Eisner has a Certificate of Advanced Professional Development for Mediation and Conflict Resolution. He has completed the core training for the California Dispute Resolution Program Act (DRPA). His background includes 20 years experience negotiating and settling civil lawsuits.
