He has represented individuals who have had false memories
of abuse implanted by their therapist, misdiagnoses and false
imprisonment in a psychiatric hospital. Many of his cases
involve abuse of transference. This includes sexual relationship
with a patient, and exploitive non-sexual dual relationships or
boundary violations. In some instances, the therapist created an
extreme and inappropriate dependency in the patient. This might
involve excessive self- disclosure, giving and receiving
expensive gifts, socializing, numerous phone calls, and business
deals.
